Philadelpha Flyers Alumni at St. John's Parish The Philadelphia Flyers Alumni joined St. John's Hospice staff to serve up a pre Christmas meal on December 22nd. Alumni Ray Allison, Bill Barber, Bobby Clarke, Bob Dailey, Paul Holmgren, Bob Kelly, Orest Kindrachuk and Don Saleski served a warm meal to 350 men who came to the hospice on Wednesday. St. John’s is one of the best known and most popular soup kitchens in the Philadelphia area and the Flyers Alumni have made it a tradition to help serve meals each year during the holidays. St. John's Hospice provides a nutritious and hot noon meal for more than 300 men each weekday; as well as counseling services, daily showers and clothing, and a mailroom for over 3,000.
